ham radio over the past 60 years.

In this show we have Chip Margelli N7JA talking about Winter Field day. Also we will talk about Chip and his appearance on the Jay Leno Tonight Show where he did the CW vs Text shootout contest.  We also talk with Bill Brown WB8ELK who is know as the Master of High Altitude Balloons.  We discuss launching a pico balloon for the show in a couple weeks and will be tracking it each prior week on the show.  Some of these balloons have been up over a year and around the world 40-50 times while reporting their position with aprs or wspr.

Our friend Martin F. Jue stopped by the studio today and we talked about ham radio the old days. Hear how Martin and Tom got their licenses and built their equipment back in the early 1960's

Tom interviews his friend Astronaut Doug Wheelock.  Doug was in Star City, Russia and had to get up at 4:00 AM local time to be on the live show. Tom talked to Astronaut Wheelock 30 times in one month while he was in the International Space Station.  Three of those contacts were from Toms mobile.
